Select items from the menu and place them on the map to design your vision for the park.
Feel free to choose as many or as few items as you like and arrange them within the designated area on the map. Use a mix of features to create a sustainable, well-rounded park environment.
As you build, aim to keep your design within a cost/benefit balance. The features have a range of costs and wider benefits they can supply to people and the environment. The goal is to show what you would like to see in the area that provide wider benefits whilst staying in budget, making your proposal feasible, affordable and enjoyable!
Keep an eye on the moneybox at the top of your map—it will show how balanced your plan is and offer tips to help you reach an achievable cost benefit balance.
About the Project
Our vision is to enhance Stanley as a vibrant, sustainable, and welcoming place to live, work, and enjoy. To help achieve this, we’re inviting you to imagine what development in South Moor Memorial Park could look like. Together, let’s explore ideas that not only address community needs but also bring fresh, creative thinking to the park’s design.
In this unique public consultation, powered by our innovative Create a Town tool, we’re giving you the chance to shape the park’s future by designing your own masterplan. You’ll have the opportunity to position amenities, create new features, and see how these choices impact the park’s overall cost/benefit balance.
This project introduces some ideas for sustainable drainage solutions designed to reduce flood risks and manage water more naturally within the park. As you explore the options, we encourage you to consider the information on these planned SUDS+ features to understand how they impact people and the environment. Place items, make changes, leave comments and experiment with layouts to express your vision for South Moor Memorial Park and its role within our community.
